A large high carat gold excavated ring (found near Gouda) with a large rose cut rock crystal in hexagonal diamond shaped setting with black enamel decoration on the "collet" of the diamond. This set crystal is set again in the most extraordinary way; with a claw setting shaped as bird claws. Maybe it belonged to a Falconer, Europe, possibly Netherlands, dating circa 1580-1620.
